Mangojo

Project Brief
Produce a social networking community based on the models of MySpace and Bebo. The site is focused on the music community and allows bands to compete, network, and advertise online. Users can view band profiles, watch and listen to media, and vote on their favourite bands. Mangojo Social Networking Website

The Solution
A very tight timeline was set for this project meaning a fully featured site had to be ready for go-live in 10 weeks. The project presented many technical challenges due to the complex relationships between users, bands, juding panels, competitiions, voting and many other entities.

By utilising the Ruby on Rails framework the site was able to be meticulously designed and then developed at breakneck speed. It was completed and ready for testing ahead of schedule.
